Alleged “Taco Bell” Rapist Arrested


On 12/20/15 Officers with the Hot Springs Police Department responded to the National Park Medical Center at 1910 Malvern Avenue in reference to a rape. Upon arrival contact was made with the victim who told the officers that on 12/20/15 at approximately 2:30 am as she was leaving work at Taco Bell at 4016 Central Avenue. The restaurant manager, Zack Padgett offered to walk with her to her vehicle, which was parked at the rear of the business. The victim stated to Detective Fallis that Padgett walked her to her vehicle when she got off of work at about 2:30 am. When they got to the car she leaned inside to set her drink down. As she did this Zack grabbed her butt. This startled her and she stood up and turned towards Padgett. Padgett then kissed her and she told him to stop and he said but your cute. Padgett then opened her back door, sat down and grabbed her by the waist and pulled her down on top of him. Padgett then turned with her placing her on her back on the rear seat. The victim went on to say that she was very scared and Zachery is a lot bigger that she is. Padgett then started touching her “down there” and removed her shorts. She said that he unzipped his pants and “put his d— inside of me and raped me. I told him to stop and he wouldn’t stop”. The victim said that it lasted about 30 minutes. When Zachery finished he told me not to tell anyone about what happened. He then got out of the car and went back inside of Taco Bell. The Arkansas State Crime Lab released a report on 1/28/16 that identified the semen component from the rape kit supplied by National Park Medical Center. On August 8, 2016 at 7:39 pm, Officer J.
