Ed Asner highlights Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival finale


Here’s an upbeat announcement: 


Ed Asner, who has won more Emmys than any other male actor, will attend the 2016 Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival to discuss his life, career, charity work and activism as the subject of the documentary “My Friend Ed.” [Trailer above.] Asner is best known for portraying Lou Grant on The Mary Tyler Moore Show and its spinoff Lou Grant, as well as beloved film roles in Up and Elf. Asner’s Lou Grant co-star, Robert Walden, will also attend the festival and facilitate a Q&A with Asner after the screening on Oct. 15.

Following the screening and Q&A will be the festival’s closing-night party at Mountain Valley Spring Water’s historic headquarters sponsored by AY Magazine and Arkansas Money and Politics.
