“She was unlocking the main door on the general merchandise side so customers could start to enter, and as she was walking back in to the story, she kind of collapsed,” her son-in-law, AJ Fullam said.

Minor was in cardiac arrest. She even stopped breathing.

Fullam said she was down for a few minutes before another manager, Carl Rodenburg, and a shopper saw her. That shopper happened to be a nurse.

“She was not breathing when they found her at all,” Fullam said. “They performed CPR for several minutes before a rescue squad could get there and pick her up.”

Minor to was rushed to the hospital, where she spent eight days on life support.

On Wednesday, her family said their prayers were answered.

“She just got off the ventilator and has been able to communicate with us, and it looks like she’s going to have, from the looks of everything, a full recovery,” Fullam said. “She’s able to communicate, and she recognizes people and asks questions, so that in itself is a miracle.”

Minor’s family credits the other manager and the mysterious nurse their quick action.

“Also being able to apply proper CPR and making sure her airway was open, and she was getting what little oxygen she could,” Fullam said.

Her life was saved, thanks to what Minor’s daughter called “angels,” who were placed in her mom’s life.

“We just really want to get in touch with the nurse and give her a huge hug, and thank her for everything that she did,” Fullam said. “We just want to know who was there when we couldn’t be. It just means a lot to use to have her in our lives.”

The family is now searching for that nurse. Minor’s daughter, Tekila Fullam, posted on Facebook, “We have not had any luck in locating her, and we do not know much about her, other than she is a nurse who was shopping at Meijer on Tylersville Rd, on the morning of September 5th, who helped to save the life of a woman who is very important to us!

“We are hoping that this post will reach her, and we can locate her to personally thank her for saving our mother, or children’s mamaw, our dad’s wife! Our world!”
