The Fayetteville planning commission unanimously approved a permit Monday night that would create a new homeless campground in South Fayetteville.
The nonprofit group Serve NWA wants to create a campground on 19th Street to house about 25 people. Some residents of the area have expressed concern that such a project will cause their property values to decline.

The proposal now goes before the full City Council for a vote.
