While she may have the choice of the British Monarchy’s most expensive and famous tiaras for her wedding to Prince Harry on May 19th, it won’t be the first time Meghan Markle has donned a crown of jewels for a special occasion.

A photo of the 36-year-old surfaced from her prom at high school where she was crowned as homecoming queen, naturally.

In the snap, Meghan is wearing a lilac strapless gown, paired with a simple diamond necklace and her black hair cascading down her left shoulder, as she stands alongside her date.

Fans of the star commented on the post, with one describing her as “the perfect queen” while another wrote “now we get to see just how stunning she’s going to look.”

Speaking of the Suits star’s choice of tiaras for her big day, royal expert Ingrid Seward recently revealed to US Weekly, “[Meghan] will have access to jewels from the royal collection made available to her by the Queen. She can choose something suitable, but she might also have the Spencer tiara, which is also Harry’s heritage and is the one Diana wore on her wedding day.”

On Kate Middleton’s wedding day, the mother-of-two wore a wedding tiara with nearly 1,000 diamonds in total, initially purchased from Cartier in 1936 as an anniversary gift from King George VI to his wife.

She has since worn several of Diana’s tiaras for public occasions, most recently the Cambridge Lover’s Knot tiara at Buckingham Palace.

If all else fails, Meghan could always dust off her prom tiara?
