LISBON, Maine —
Someone tied dozens of red balloons on grates Lisbon, Maine overnight Friday.
The balloons appeared as the movie adaptation of author Stephen King’s book “It” continues to awe audiences in theaters.
King graduated from Lisbon High School in the 1960s. He lives in Bangor for part of the year.
“I love Stephen King,” Steven Carlton, of Lisbon, said. “I’ve read 20-30 of his books. I haven’t seen the movie yet. I can’t wait to see it.”
Last month, a red balloon appeared in the front window of King’s Bangor home, coinciding with the release of the movie.
