President Donald Trump questioned the accuracy of news reports about his intentions with the country’s nuclear arsenal while challenging news outlets’ rights under the First Amendment.

“It’s frankly disgusting the way the press is able to write whatever they want to write,” Trump said, adding that “people should look into it.”

He was discussing reports about his comments on the country’s nuclear arsenal. Trump said he wants the nuclear force to be in perfect working conditions.

Under the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, the government is prohibited from making any law that infringes “upon the freedom of the press.”
