As utility workers from throughout the country labor to restore power to Florida communities hit hard by Hurricane Irma, one crew found a touching note from the residents they are helping.

A picture of the handwritten note was posted by National Grid spokesman Bob Kievra.

“Thank you for coming to Florida to help get our power back on. I’ll probably never meet you, but as evacuees we saw the convoys of utility, military, tankers, law enforcement, etc coming down. I cried many times seeing those. So thank you again from the bottom of our hearts. We know you and your work partners are trying hard. Hope you get back to your families soon and may God bless you all!”

The note was signed, “Deb Armstrong + Family.”
