Garland County Sheriff’s Patrol Corporal Hawthorn and Deputy Wagner were handling sheriff business in the area of Huddleston Springs when they spotted a black Jeep Cherokee they that thought required some attention.
They attempted to stop the Jeep, but it allegedly sped off eastbound on Mountain Pine Road. The suspect allegedly ran all the way to the dead end of Porter Lane where his vehicle struck a fence.
The driver, Parolee Jerry Sean White, 27, of parts unknown, allegedly jumped from the Jeep, hopped a fence and ran into the woods. He made it about 100 yards into the forrest before Dep. Wagner caught him. The parolee allegedly wanted to fight about it. Dep. Wagner zapped him back into compliance with his department issued parolee blaster.
Parolee White was arrested and checked out by LifeNet Medics at the scene. He was medically cleared for booking and then transported by the patrol to the Garland County Detention Center. He is charged with Felony Fleeing, Resisting Arrest and Failure To Appear with a bond amount totaling $3,500 with a no bond hold for the FTA charge.
