Several breaking & entering and theft reports were taken by the Garland County Sheriff’s Patrol on November 19, 2019.
On that day, a victim on Woodland Shores Road reported that 2 of his vehicles had been broken into. During the investigation, video was obtained that showed a suspect wearing dark clothing and a bandana around the face. GCSO CID Investigators found Mr. Homan at home on November 20, 2019 and asked if he wouldn’t mind coming in and speaking with investigators. He agreed and was transported to the Garland County Sheriff’s CID Section.
The report says that he was read his Miranda Rights, understood them and made statements. The interview was video/audio recorded.
During the interview, Mr. Homan allegedly told investigators that on the evening of November 19, 2019, he was at a residence on Williams Street, had taken 4 Xanax pills, got bored, grabbed his gloves and bandana and set out to “find what this neighborhood had to offer”.
He allegedly went on to say that he left out and found several cars that were unlocked on Woodland Shores Road and entered them in order to find stuff to steal. He wound up on Quaker Lane where he found an unlocked, grey 2004 Honda Accord ($3,300) with the keys in the ignition.
He allegedly continued to tell investigators that he drove that car around until a tire went flat in the 1000 Block of Sunshine Road. He got out of the Accord and found a grey 2013 Honda CRV ($12,000). It was also unlocked with the keys in the ignition. He then drove that vehicle around. He eventually parked the car on Woodland Shores Road, went back to the trailer he was in and went to bed.
Mr. Homan was arrested and transported to the Garland County Detention Center for processing. He is charged with Felony Breaking & Entering x2, Felony Theft Of Property x2 and Attemted Breaking Or Entering x3 with a bond amount totaling $14,000.
