All suspects are presumed innocent until determined guilty in court.

Hot Springs Police Detective Shawn Stillian reports the following:

The victim advised on 06/05/2019, she got into a black SUV, unknown make and model, at the 2800 block of Central Avenue.  Prior to getting into the vehicle the victim placed three bags consisting of clothing, jewelry, electronic equipment and other miscellaneous items valued at $10,182.00 in the back of the vehicle.  The victim got in the vehicle with her male friend.  The victim and her friend were in the back seat and a known male was driving.  The victim said there was an unknown white male in the front passenger seat.

After a few minutes the driver pulled over into a vacant lot in the 400 block of Third Street.  The driver demanded the victim and her friend get out of the vehicle.  Both exited the vehicle and before she could retrieve her belongings from the back of the vehicle, the vehicle sped off.

The victim provided me pictures and a list of some of the jewelry taken.  I checked leads on line and came across a ticket from a local pawn shop on Central Avenue.  Several of the items listed on the ticket matched some of the items the victim reported missing.  I went to the pawn shop and compared the items sold to the pictures provided by the victim.  Several of the rings were a match along with a pair of hoop earrings.
