Today, we continue reprinting the wishes of Christmas Wish 2019 that remain unadopted.
All that’s needed to be a hero for a child are the donations of toys or money, which can be dropped off at The Baxter Bulletin lobby, located at 16 W. 6th Street in Mountain Home. The lobby is open 8 a.m.-noon and 1-4 p.m., Monday-Thursday. Friday hours vary according to staffing.
Volunteers will begin filling wishes later this month.
A family of five consists of a mom that works full-time and a dad on disability. They would like help to provide their children the Christmas they deserve.
FIRST CHILD – Nine-year-old girl
ABOUT ME: I have had a very hard time learning how to read, but I’m finally getting it this year with the help of my wonderful teacher, so I am super excited about reading. I also love playing Barbies and LOL Surprise Dolls.
ONE THING I WOULD REALLY LOVE: Dr. Seuss book collection.
THINGS I WOULD LIKE: Barbies, LOL surprise dolls and art supplies.
THINGS THAT I NEED: Size 3 socks.
MY FAVORITES: The color green, suckers, “Spy Ninja” show on YouTube and the movie “Frozen.”
SECOND CHILD – 13-year-old girl
ABOUT ME: I love my dog; he makes me very happy. I love owls. I have had a really rough couple of years, but things are getting better and we just got a house!
ONE THING I WOULD REALLY LOVE: Bluetooth headphones
THINGS I WOULD LIKE: Anything owls for my new room (full-size bedding) and art supplies.
THINGS THAT I NEED: Size 16 pants/jeans and size 11 socks.
MY FAVORITES: The color teal, chocolate, the TV show “The Good Place” and the movie “Heaven is Real.”
THIRD CHILD – 16-year-old boy
ABOUT ME: I am great at drawing. Our family had a hard time last year. Our apartment caught fire and then my aunt suddenly passed away, but things are starting to get better. I just got my own room and I am doing better in school.
ONE THING I WOULD REALLY LOVE: Any Zelda game for the Nintendo Switch.
THINGS I WOULD LIKE: Art supplies and anything for my room and full-size bed.
THINGS THAT I NEED: Size 12 socks.
MY FAVORITES: The color hot pink, Crunchy chocolate bars and the movie “The Boy and the Beast.”
A husband on disability and a wife who is recovering after an accident and multiple surgeries. She lost her job following her accident. He does not get much disability and says the family barely gets by, and that they are very behind on their house payment. He adds they have no way to travel because they do not have the money to pay their taxes or insurance on their car.
FIRST CHILD – 12-year-old girl
ABOUT ME: I love dogs and cats and I have six dogs and one cat. I also love horses and bunnies. I like to do make-up and fix my hair and take selfies with my mom. I need some more hair stuff to fix my hair.
ONE THING I WOULD REALLY LOVE: To help out my family.
THINGS I WOULD LIKE: Make-up, scrunchies and hair stuff to help me style my hair.
THINGS THAT I NEED: Size 16 clothes and jacket/coat, L pants/jeans/joggers and leggings, size 7 socks/shoes/boots and twin-size bedding.
MY FAVORITES: The colors black, red and green, Everlasting Gobstoppers, the TV show “Modern Family” and the movie “Instant Family.”
A disabled dad with four great kiddos is going through a separation and would like to try and make this year’s Christmas as nice as possible. He said the kids are adjusting to a new school and with limited income, it doesn’t leave much room for extras for the kids and any help at is more than appreciated.
FIRST CHILD – 4-year-old boy
ABOUT ME: I like watching “Peppa Pig” and “The Octonauts.” I love playing with Legos and action figures. I just started school and love snack time! I like building things with the magnetic building blocks and I also love puzzles.
ONE THING I WOULD REALLY LOVE: Building blocks.
THINGS I WOULD LIKE: Magnetic building blocks, puzzles, a fishing pole and “Octonauts” videos.
THINGS THAT I NEED: Size 4T clothes, size 10 shoes, socks and a new bed.
MY FAVORITES: The color green, sour candy, the TV show “Octonauts” and building blocks.
SECOND CHILD – 12-year-old boy
ABOUT ME: I enjoy gaming, chess and YouTube videos. I am also in band and play the tuba. I like riding my bike and playing basketball.
ONE THING I WOULD REALLY LOVE: A Nintendo Switch.
THINGS I WOULD LIKE: Headphones and a basketball.
THINGS THAT I NEED: Size L-XL clothes, size 9.5 shoes, socks and a new bed.
MY FAVORITES: The color cyan, Reese’s peanut butter cups, YouTube, Disney shows and chess.
A recently separated, single mom is trying to start from scratch and not have her children suffer any more than they already are. She says they are good kids.
FIRST CHILD – 8-year-old girl
ABOUT ME: I am a girly girl, very artistic and glamorous. I want to grow up to illustrate books in my spare time. I dance, sing, cook and go to soccer and Girl Scouts.
ONE THING I WOULD REALLY LOVE: An 18-inch bicycle and helmet.
THINGS I WOULD LIKE: A Crayola Inspiration art case, a make your own lip balm set, a Hover soccer ball and a SmartLab Toys – Girls Only! Secret Message Lab.
THINGS THAT I NEED: A Unicorn Magic lamp, a Snuggie/glammy, sensory fidget toy bundle and an anti-anxiety weighted blanket.
MY FAVORITES: The colors blue and purple, cotton candy, “The Odd Squad” TV show and the movie “Wreck it Ralph.”
SECOND CHILD – 10-year-old girl
ABOUT ME: I love to write and read in forts. I love to play outside and camping and hiking interest me because I’ve been a Girl Scout for four years. Riding my bike is my favorite, however mine is now too small.
ONE THING I WOULD REALLY LOVE: A 20-inch bicycle.
THINGS I WOULD LIKE: A Fuzzy Wubble Unicorn, a Cozy Dozy Cubbies the Bear, Contixo R1 Kids Robot Toy and a Moemoe kids camera.
THINGS THAT I NEED: A pink Snuggie, a treasure box, a unicorn alarm clock and a lap tray to do homework on in bed.
MY FAVORITES: The color pink, M&Ms, the TV show “The Odd Squad” and movie “Wreck it Ralph.”
A survivor of domestic abuse, a single mom said she and her two children had to start over. She works part-time, is a student at Arkansas State University-Mountain Home and a full-time mom. Between the cost of living and trying to go back to school, she said it’s been tough to provide much of the Christmas her girls deserve. She said they are both on honor roll and well behaved. Her Christmas wish is that her girls have a better holiday than the last one.
FIRST CHILD – 7-year-old girl
ABOUT ME: I like to swim and I have a Pokémon card collection. I am a fast runner and I like to play outside. I love to sing and dance to the radio. I like to make-up my own songs and I like having fashion shows with my sister.
ONE THING I WOULD REALLY LOVE: A Scruff-a-Luvs Mystery Rescue Pet.
THINGS I WOULD LIKE: A kitten stuffed animal, Pokémon Legos, a Lost Kitties Set and Polly Pocket Big Pocket World.
THINGS THAT I NEED: Step into Reading books level 3-4, size 13 shoes, marker/art set, queen size bedding.
MY FAVORITES: The color purple, lollipops, “Teen Titans GO” TV show and the movie “Lion King.”
SECOND CHILD – 9-year-old girl
ABOUT ME: I am in GATE. and love to read. I like to draw and color. I love mermaids, kittens, fairies, unicorns and bunnies. I have been reading the Laura Ingalls Wilder book series in school I am on a fifth-grade reading level. I like to collect stickers.
ONE THING I WOULD REALLY LOVE: A Crayola Sprinkle Art Shaker.
THINGS I WOULD LIKE: A remote-control cat, an art studio kit, a sticker album and a Crayola Color Chemistry Set.
THINGS THAT I NEED: Size 2-3 sneakers/shoes, “American Girl” books, art supplies and queen-size bedding.
MY FAVORITES: The color pink, Butterfinger candy bars, “Total Drama-rama” TV show and “The Hotel Transylvania” movie.
