Eleven new members were recently accepted into the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. The new members include (from left to right) Jason Martin, Derek Custer, Janet Smith, Harold Wehmeyer, Gary Edwards, Michael House, Timothy Chaney, Joe Wright, Freedom Hobbs, Thomas Kelly and Alan Massie. The ceremony was held on Nov. 26 and witnessed by about 30 current members. The ceremony was conducted by Stuart Friend, President and Exalted Ruler. The Elks, one of the largest fraternal organizations in the U.S., is composed of more than one million American citizens, and almost 1,000 of them belong to the Mountain Home Lodge.
