A massive fire erupted Thursday night at the Olde Tyme Restaurant on the east side of the courthouse square in Mountain Home.
A full response from the Mountain Home fire department saw two ladder trucks and two fire trucks on the scene. Smoke billowed from the building before fire broke through the roof and lit up the night sky.
Mountain Home firemen were working to keep the fire from spreading to attached buildings, with smoke seen in a neighboring wholesale jewelry outlet.
The fire broke out at approximately 11 p.m. at the restaurant, operated by Scott and Amanda Callies. The downtown eatery is known for its homecooked meals and signature vinegar pie.
The fire did damage some electrical lines and power poles adjacent to the structure.
The Bulletin will have more information on the fire when it becomes available. Crews were still on scene at 11:45 p.m. battling the blaze.
