On Wednesday December 11, 2019, officers from the Hot Springs Police Department and the Garland County Sheriff’s Office went to the Hot Springs Animal Services Facility to help them get ready for their 2nd Annual Home for the Holidays adoption event.

Garland County Sheriff Lt. Martineau, Undersheriff Lawrence, and Captain Ware socializing some of the dogs that will be up for adoption.
HSAS hosted their 2nd annual “Home for the Holidays Adoption Event” at their 319 Davidson Drive location, on Friday, December 13, 2019, from 6-9pm. The event was a success with all of the adoptable animals in the shelter finding new homes.

Visitors enjoyed hot cocoa and cookies and visited with all of the animals up for adoption. A new mural painted by the Lakeside Art Club was also revealed.

Adoption fees were half price during the event, Dogs $27.50 and Cats $17.50, and included spay/neuter, microchip, and rabies vaccination.



The Garland County Sheriffs Department was at the adoption event with $50.00 off vouchers for spay/neuter.

When you adopt an animal from a shelter, you aren’t just saving one animal, you are saving two. You are giving one animal a new home, and making space for another to come in.
