HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (KATV) — Hot Springs police arrested a man in connection to an officer-involved shooting, said the department in a press release.

Officers received a 911 call in reference to several shots fired in the 300 block of Chappel Hill Road around 11:20 a.m. Wednesday, according to the police department.
When officers arrived on the scene, they encountered Zachary Burks armed with a pistol.
Police say an officer fired his weapon and Burks was shot.
He was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Burks is being held in the Garland County Detention Center on a zero bond parole hold.
He faces felony charges of aggravated assault and possession of a firearm by a certain person.
The release says as per departmental policy, the officer will be placed on paid administrative leave pending an administrative investigation.
