House votes to send articles of impeachment to Senate – Arkansas Times

As expected, the U.S. House of Representatives today voted to send two articles of impeachment against President Trump to the Senate.

The House impeached Trump a month ago, charging him with abuse of power and obstruction of Congress, but House Speaker Nancy Pelosi held the articles until now.

The House also selected seven impeachment managers to prosecute the case. It will be just the third presidential impeachment trial in the nation’s history.

The following Democratic House representatives will be managers: Adam Schiff of California, Jerrold Nadler of New York, Zoe Lofgren of California, Hakeem Jeffries of New York, Val Demings of Florida, Jason Crow of Colorado and Sylvia Garcia of Texas.
