About 2,000 people had a peachy-keen time in North Little Rock Saturday, July 6.
The Annual Peach Festival at Faulkner Lake Orchard brought in more than a dozen vendors, selling everything peach-related.
Organizers say the event is also a good way to teach people about proper nutrition and where their food comes from.
“A lot of times, people don’t know what happens at a peach orchard or how their product gets to the store, and we grow a lot of what you eat in the grocery store,” organizer Karen Martin said. “We grow it right here on the farm and you can purchase it right here in our farm stores.”
Families were able to pick their own peaches from the orchard. And when they needed a break, there was also a petting zoo.
