Morning Star Fire Troops were dispatched to Lance Circle last night for the call of an out of control house fire.
MSFD Troops, backed up by Lake Hamilton Fire & Rescue Troops, arrived quickly with plenty of manpower and gear to handle the situation.
The following is the fire report that MSFD Chief Nathan Kew filed which details his department’s response:
(On November 20, 2019) at 1757, MSFD was dispatched to a residential fire at 103 Lance Circle. LHFD was also dispatched and responded as automatic aid.
Dispatch advised that first caller stated the house was not fully engulfed, however the garage and roof were on fire. Dispatch then advised a second caller reported the structure to be fully engulfed with explosions and other structures in danger.
At 1801 first arriving units reported a wood frame, single story, single family dwelling, with garage, attic, and “Delta” side all heavily involved. A rapid attack was made and the fire was brought under control quickly.
The structure sustained heavy fire and smoke damage, but was over 50% salvageable. MSFD responded with 3 Engines, 1 Service Truck, 1 Tanker, and 12 personnel. LHFD responded with 1 Engine, 1 Pumper/Tanker, and 5 personnel.
