The man in these photos is Louis Shorts. He’s ACC’s Drug Court Coordinator in Area 3. He volunteered to help with vacation Bible school at New Life Church in Heber Springs.

During VBS, the church gives children the opportunity to learn about different skill sets, careers, and hobbies. They learn about sewing, emergency services, and wall climbing. One of the career experiences focused Hometown Heroes including firefighters, EMS, and law enforcement. In addition to his ACC work, Short is also the church’s security. So, he was volunteered to take part in the K9 demonstration. He didn’t back down from the challenge presented and gave his arm up for attack. In case you’re wondering…he’s fine. Pads are wonderful things!
