Paramedic Allegedly Dumps Deceased Patient’s Stolen $7,900 Ring At Pawn Shop For $45; Felony Arrest – HOT SPRINGS

Hot Springs Police were contacted by family members of a patient that passed away at the hospital on October 16,2019 following a medical emergency.  The complaint was in reference to missing jewelry (3 rings).  The family was given the victim’s personal effects, but maintained that 3 of the victim’s rings were missing.

The report says that one of the family members asked a paramedic where the rings were.  The paramedic, identified as Lisa Darlene Glaze, 50, of Silla Lane in Hot Springs Village, allegedly did not answer the family member and walked away.

Lisa Darlene Glaze, 50, of Silla Lane in Hot Springs Village – allegedly sold a deceased lady’s stolen ring to a pawn shop.

2 days later, the family members were at the funeral home when they were given 2 of the missing rings.  The report does not say who gave them the rings.  The 3rd was still missing.   It was described as a single marquis cut diamond ring with a gold band.  That ring had been cut off of the deceased victim’s finger, presumably at the hospital, by medical staff.

6 days after that, Ms. Glaze allegedly sold a ring matching the description of the missing ring to a local pawn shop for $45.  The band of the ring had been cut.  Ms. Glaze allegedly presented her Arkansas Driver’s License in order to complete the transaction.

On October 29th, 2019, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Lieutenant Loudermilk went to the pawn shop and photographed the ring.  The family was shown the photos and confirmed that it was the missing ring.  Lt. Loudermilk showed the pawn shop operator a copy of Ms. Glaze’s DL photo.  He positively identified her as the person that sold the ring to him.
