Hot Springs Police Corporal May was dispatched to a residence on Portland Street last week to investigate the complaint of threats by a known suspect.
Cpl. May arrived on scene and met with the complainant. She alleged that about 15 minutes earlier, she witnessed a brown Chevy Malibu being driven by Parolee Fredrick Easter, 30, of Cresent Avenue, Hot Springs.
The complainant said Parolee Easter was waving what appeared to be a handgun and yelling that he was going to kill her brother. While Cpl. May was talking to the complainant, her brother called 911, and reported that Parolee Easter just drove by his residence on Palmetto in the brown Malibu suspect vehicle and fired several shots in the air.
Responding officers allegedly found several shell casings in the street and put out the description of the suspect vehicle to other officers. Within a few minutes, HSPD Officer Greene observed a vehicle matching that description in the area of Alcorn Street near Miller Street. Off. Greene stopped the suspect vehicle and made contact with the driver, Parolee Fredrick Easter.
Parolee Easter was arrested and transported to the Garland County Detention Center for processing.
Parolee Easter is charged with Felony Terroristic Threatening with a bond amount of $2500. A Parole Hold has been placed on him as well.
