All suspects are presumed innocent until determined guilty in court.
Hot Springs Police Officers Greene and McAdoo were on patrol in the area of Rector Street when they came across a residence they believed that wanted Parolee Marquiz Shanta “Moochie” Moutry, 28, of Rector Street in Hot Springs, was known to frequent.
The officers located a resident of that location and asked for permission to search the place for the presence of Parolee Moutry. Permission was allegedly granted by the resident.
Officers entered the home and found Parolee Moutry in the kitchen. Officers advised Parolee Moutry that he was wanted and began to handcuff him. Parolee Moutry allegedly pushed away and tried to run. After a brief fight, Parolee Moutry was put on the ground and handcuffed.
Parolee Moutry was arrested and transported to the Garland County Detention Center for processing. It was determined that during the transit to jail, Parolee Moutry had allegedly dropped a small baggie containing .4 grams of meth in the prisoner area of the police vehicle.
Parolee Moutry is charged with Felony Possession Of A Controlled Substance, Resisting Arrest and Parole Violation with a bond amount totaling $3,500 and a Parole Hold placed.
