The Mountain Home Police Department arrested a 17-year-old Mountain Home High School student Friday morning, a news release from Police Chief Carry Manuel reports.
At 9:48 a.m. Friday morning, 911 received a call concerning the need for an ambulance at the high school, the report states. Baxter Regional Medical Center responded with an ambulance and the School Resource Officer was notified. Mountain Home Public School personnel were also on scene, the report indicates.
During a preliminary investigation, a 17-year-old male student admitted to providing two female students access to his vaping device. After ingesting a vaporized liquid from the device, the female students reported feeling sick. They were transported to the emergency room at Baxter Regional Medical Center.
The age of the two female students was unknown at time of news release.
The male student was taken into custody and charged with possession of a controlled substance (marijuana). Custody of the male student was transferred to Baxter County Juvenile Services. The investigation into the matter is continuing, the report states.
