Public Release From The Arkansas Department of Corrections:
A quick cautionary tale about what you should never do…never call the county jail, or any correctional facility for that matter, and say that all the inmates need to be released because “the place is about to explode.”
That’s exactly what Jason Patnou is accused of doing to the Baxter County Jail. The phone number that the threatening call came from was reportedly traced back to him. The jail has his number in its records system because he was arrested in March. When deputies went to his home, the jail’s phone number was in the “recent calls” listing on his cell phone.
Patnou is now in jail on a charge of falsely communicating a terroristic threat. His bond is $25,000. Remember….threatening any lockup is not funny. It’s a Class B felony that could send you to state prison.
