River Valley Police Say Verizon Customers Have Temporarily Lost Access To 911

FORT SMITH, Ark. (KFSM) — The Fort Smith Police Department, Sebastian County Sheriff’s Office and Crawford County Sheriff’s Office say that Verizon customers have temporarily lost access to 911 across the region.

Fort Smith police are asking that anyone impacted call 479-709-5100 for all emergencies and non-emergencies until further notice.

The Sebastian County Sheriff’s Office request anyone affected that’s in need of emergency services to call 479-783-1051. This number is for the Sebastian County Dispatch Center.

The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office says all 911 calls that should be going to the sheriff’s office are being re-routed to Van Buren and Alma Police Departments Admin Line. If you call 911 and reach Van Buren or Alma Police Department please follow the dispatcher’s instructions.
