Suspect Caught Allegedly Prying Open Car Window; Felony Arrest – HOT SPRINGS



All suspects are presumed innocent until determined guilty in court.

Hot Springs Police Officer J. Ugartechea reports the following:

On 08/05/19 at approximately 00:02 hours, I Off. J. Ugartechea #177 along with Off. C Chapin #167, and Off R Davis #141 responded to the 200 block of Woodmere in reference to a breaking or entering.  Dispatch advised that the homeowner stated that there was a male subject attempting to break into his vehicle.

Officers arrived on scene and observed a male in the carport attempting to pry the window of the vehicle open, the male then fled towards the back of the property, where after a short distance was apprehended.  The male subject was identified as Allen Clem Lewallen III.

Allen Clem Lewallen III, 25, of Faith Trail in Garland County – allegedly caught attempting to break into a vehicle with dope on his person

During a search of Lewallen’s person, one multi colored smoking pipe, one screwdriver, one flashlight, one small pouch containing a small plastic bag containing 0.3 grams of methamphetamines, a small plastic bag containing 0.3 of marijuana, a small piece of foil containing 0.1 of methamphetamines, and 1 small metal fitting with marijuana residue, were located.

Mr. Lewallen III was arrested and transported to the Garland County Detention Center for processing. He is charged with Felony Breaking Or Entering, Felony Possession Of A Controlled Substance, Possession Of A Controlled Substance, and Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia, with a bond amount totaling $7,000.
