Two Probationers Steal Jewelry And Rifle Scope From Walmart; Felony Arrest x 2 – HOT SPRINGS

Officer Riley of the Hot Springs Police Department arrested two suspects on December 12 in relation to a theft from Walmart on Albert Pike Road.

On October 10, an employee of Wal-Mart reported that on October 3 around 2:20 am two known suspects broke into store cases and stole multiple items.

Probationer Michael Lynch, 27, of Federal Street in Hot Springs, and Probationer Kyle Murders, 27, of Rugg Street in Hot Springs, broke into around 20 cases in the Jewelry and Sporting Good’s departments. The locks were damaged causing $2,562.80 in damages.

Lynch and Murders can be seen on surveillance video taking turns looking out, breaking in, and removing merchandise.

5 items of jewelry were taken valued at $930. A rifle scope valued at $118 was also taken. Lynch concealed the scope down the front of his pants.

Riley arrested Lynch on December 12 around 1:15pm on Oauchita Avenue. Riley arrested Murders on the same day around 2:15pm at Sonic on Malvern Avenue.

In April, Lynch was also charged with felony breaking or entering, felony theft of property, two counts of felony criminal mischief, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, criminal mischief, failure to appear, resisting arrest, and unlawful transfer of stolen property. Murders was sentenced to 72 months of probation on September 1 for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was also arrested around April on a valid burglary warrant outside of the Garland County Detention Center. READ THAT STORY CLICK HERE.

Both probationers are now charged with breaking or entering, first degree criminal mischief more than $1,000 but less than $5,000, and theft of property more than $1,000 but less than $5,000.

They each had bond set at $7,500.
