On December 8 around 7:40pm, Corporal Jon Lane Sr. of the Garland County Sheriff’s Department saw a person slumped over the steering wheel of a gray Honda Civic, still running, in the middle of the parking lot at Valero, 2616 Albert Pike Road. The driver had an active warrant, was in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
The driver, Christopher Vallun, 33, of Rayhan Road in Pine Bluff, was groggy when Lane tried to check on him. Vallun had a zero-bond warrant through Jefferson County.
Lane arrested Vallun and found a glass pipe in his left jacket pocket and a plastic bag with granules of meth attached to a package of cigarettes.
Vallun was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance.
Vallun plead not guilty on December 9 and was bonded at $5,000. His felony review is scheduled for January 13, 2020.
