Garland County Sheriff’s Patrol Deputy DeLaHunt reports the following:
On the 28th day of September, 2019 at approximately 1935; I, Deputy DeLaHunt responded to a check person at the 100 block of Irwin Circle. The caller stated a white male was passed out in his yard and appeared to be drunk.
I arrived on the scene and found the white male subject laying on his back in the front yard, wearing a gray shirt and brown shorts. The male subject was breathing, but not following my instructions. I asked for LifeNet to come on scene.
LifeNet arrived and we attempted to wake the subject up. The subject woke up violently, swinging his arms and yelling. I grabbed the subject and a wallet fell to the ground out of his back pocket. I was able to identify the subject as James Thalacker, Jr.
I had dispatch run Thalacker through ACIC, and he came back with a warrant out of Garland County for Probation Violation.
Upon searching Thalacker for incident of arrest, I found a plastic container in his front left pocket, with what appeared to be rock like substance believed to be methamphetamine and a bag of marijuana in the container. I field tested the rock like substance and it tested positive for methamphetamine.
Thalacker was checked out by LifeNet and cleared and transported to the Garland County Detention Center, and charged with 2 counts of Possession Of A Controlled Substance (1 count for methamphetamine D Felony, 1 count for marijuana A Misdemeanor), and for Probation Violation warrant out of Garland County.
Once at the Detention Center I weighed the methamphetamine with an approximate weight of .8 grams and the marijuana with an approximate weight of 1.3 grams. The items were placed into evidence at the Sheriff’s Office.
Mr. Thalacker has a bond amount totaling $6,000.
